Wish Listings of Sedona Verde Valley TimeBank

The community needs your voice! On Thursday, January 31st from 6:30-8:30pm at the Sedona Public Library, Sustainable AZ and The Sedona Verde Valley TimeBank will present an inspiring event. The film "Fixing the Future" will be shown which features innovative ways other communities are building sustainable economies. A panel discussion of local community leaders will take place following the film. We invite you to join in the conversation! Together, we can all make a difference!

TimeBanking is a reciprocal service exchange system that uses units of time as currency. Sedona TimeBank members earn Time Tokens for sharing their skills with other members, hour for hour. Time Tokens can be used to receive services needed- no money exchanged! Musicians can earn Time Tokens for giving lessons to other members in an group setting or individually. TimeBanking is an example of an alternative monetary system and a great way to connect with the community!

The Sedona TimeBank invites organizations in Sedona and the Verde Valley that are making use of the Sedona Wishlist to expand your volunteer base by joining the TimeBank as well. As a service for service exchange program, the Sedona TimeBank can be an added value to projects you may have that require "more hands to make the load lighter"! Thank you to everyone that attended the Sedona Film Festival's "Fixing the Future" event on Wednesday, July 18th! It is so inspiring to know that this community is very interested in the sustainability of Sedona and the Verde Valley. The in-depth discussions that followed echoed a desire to work together to come up with creative ideas that are a benefit for everyone! Thank you to those who were inspired to come to the Sedona TimeBank orientation afterward. We ARE fixing the future, together!

The Sedona TimeBank is pleased to be a part of "Fixing the Future", a nationwide event taking place on July 18th! We are seeking people interested in creating a sustainable community for the benefit of us all, as well as for future generations. Some ideas generated in the film "Fixing the Future" are already in place locally, such as the Sedona TimeBank. Join us Wed. July 18th at 4 or 7pm at the Mary D. The Sedona TimeBank is looking for Youth Organizations to become an Organizational Member in order to assist with Sedona's elder community needs. By encouraging the community building skills that Youth Organizations promote, the elderly community can receive assistance with a variety of everyday tasks such as yard work, pet care or simple companionship.
