Calling all owners of unvaccinated pets! On Thursday, 9/28, the Humane Society of Sedona will hold a pet vaccination clinic at Posse Grounds Park from 9 am to 2 pm. The first 100 pets belonging to Sedona residents will get a FREE rabies vaccination, with other vaccinations, dog licenses and microchips available at a discount. This event is CASH ONLY and 1st come, 1st serve. Dog vaccinations (Da2pp), Cat vaccinations (FVRCP), and rabies (for those living outside Sedona, or after the first 100 are gone, will be available for $15 each. Microchips will be available for $20 each. City of Sedona dog licenses will be available as well. Thanks to the City of Sedona for their support!

Part-time Rotating Position: Four 6-hour days plus one 4-hour day (28 hours per week)

Paid Team Member
• Work in a professional manner
• Act as a mentor and motivator to kitchen volunteers
• Assist with developing various schedules including production schedule and
staff/volunteer schedule
• Prepare foods for Student Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) brown bag meal deliveries, adhering to recipes and program guidelines
• Assist in developing recipes according to Arizona Department of Education
(ADE)/ National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines
• Assist with menu planning based on Arizona Department of Education (ADE)/National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines
• Maintain USDA NSLP commodity foods processes including inventory and
• May assist with purchasing food and supplies
• Take an active leadership role on inventory team
• Take an active leadership role guiding production and packing volunteers in
kitchen organization, cleanliness and Yavapai County Health procedures
• Attend meetings, including YFC team meetings
• Other duties as assigned
• Must have a Yavapai County Food Handlers Permit within 30 days and a
Yavapai County Food Managers License within 120 days (YFC sponsored)

Sedona Marine Corps League WANTS YOU!

Description

We Want You! The Sedona Marine Corps League is looking for a few good men and women to join us in service to our community! The Marine Corps League welcomes all men and women ― active duty and veterans of all US service branches and non-veterans alike. Our organization is open to all members of the Sedona and Verde Valley areas who would like to volunteer and participate in civic and social programs that benefit the community at large.

In addition to helping to serve the needs of local veterans, the Sedona Marine Corps League contributes to a variety of programs and organizations in Sedona and the Verde Valley. Programs supported include Toys for Tots, Veterans History Project, Marines Helping Marines (wounded warrior program), Verde Valley Caregivers, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Verde Valley Adult Reading Program, and annual scholarship awards to Red Rock High School graduating seniors.

The League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley seeks to grow its membership during 2016 in order to meet the needs of ensuring maximum engagement of eligible voters in the 2016 political process. Projects involve participating in voter registration campaigns throughout the year, organizing voter education programs on critical election issues, conducting candidate forums, organizing fun civic engagement events, and studying key issues to assist the League in developing positions on issues and proposed legislation. The League is a nonpartisan political organization dedicated to public service in the field of government. It is a national organization open to men and women. Its purpose is to encourage political responsibility through informed and active participation on government -- making democracy work. The League influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League never supports or opposed political parties or candidates for elective office. 2016 is the year to get involved.
