Red Earth Theatre provides a platform to inspire and nurture many voices through live performance, and encourages dialogue exploring the human condition in our diverse communities. We provide a "home" where theatre artists can develop, improve and express their craft in a fiscally supported environment plus an opportunity for all to experience both the creation and sharing of story through theatrical means. We also encourage dialogue and ongoing community engagement in the arts and theatre as a means to social wellbeing.
Red Earth Theatre offers classic, contemporary and new work and musical productions, staged readings throughout the community, fully produced short performances available for festivals, fundraisers, corporate events, theatre workshops and classes at different locations. We also offer theatre-based community projects at places such as hospitals and prisons or with cultural groups such as Hispanic or Native American communities.

Volunteers to Assist with Events

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

The Sedona Posse Grounds Hub, is a flexible, affordable performing arts venue, available on a sliding scale rental to any in the community who wish to teach, rehearse, perform

Managed by Red Earth Theatre there are workshops classes concerts, art openings and other events that often need someone to assist managing concessions, help at the door, and generally welcome the public to the Hub.

We are also seeking someone to help getting flyers out into the public and occasionally need extra help in the office or with preparing events and sometimes a we really need a handyman for the Hub.

Red Earth Theatre also often has events where we warmly embrace volunteers to assist in similar ways.

A great way to support the local arts community and usually have a fun time doing it. Check out the Hub at www.sedonahub.org and www.redearththeatre,org for more in what we do and offer and see where YOU can be part of family.

Sedona Hub Host Volunteers

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

Seeking Sedona Hub Host Volunteers:
1) We need volunteers for events, performances and concerts that would welcome people, run concessions (donations not sales), and sometimes do front of house for our renters. And volunteers can see the show for free!

2) to deliver posters & flyers around town for upcoming events (we have a list of places that accept them and hope to add more).

3) to help us build a relationship with our community for the Sedona Hub and Red Earth Theatre. Help us put a face on the performing arts in our community - Sedona, VOC, Cottonwood, and anywhere else you are willing to go :)

Electric Kettle and Track Lighting

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

Red Earth Theatre manages the Sedona Hub (previously the Teen Center) as a multi use performing arts center. The Hub needs an electric kettle to sustain us and our renters through many hours spent there and for events and concerts to make tea.

We are also seeking support to improve the lighting in there- specifically track lighting for the many art exhibits that we host.

Please visit the Hub website at www.sedonahub.org

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

Red Earth Theatre has created a brand new play for the Max Ernst-Dorothea Tanning celebration in March. The cast of 4 includes an actor coming up from Phoenix for 3 weeks of rehearsal and performance. We are seeking a self-contained studio/apartment/granny house for him to call his home while he works here to bring this world premier to life for the Sedona Art Museum Celebration.

He is a serious young actor who graduated from ASU a few years ago and after this show will be moving directly to New York to pursue his career.

The dates he will need it are from February 23rd through March 17th.

THANK YOU!! Red Earth Theatre is so grateful for the generous support of an anonymous donor to purchase our own light and sound equipment and some pipe&drape for the theatre. The trust and support as we continue to be a 'nomadic' theatre throughout the Verde Valley is deeply appreciated.

Live Theatre Technical Equipment

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

Red Earth Theatre specializes in bringing live theatre to venues that are not usually set up for the full live performance experience. We bring in platforms, lights and sound equipment. As our performance schedule increases it is apparent that we need to have our own equipment! rather than renting and borrowing. We have a list of basic equipment including 6 theatre lights, 3 stands, extensions cords, a dimmer (light) board and basic sound board that will allow us to travel and set up easily and efficiently. We are looking for a sponsor to help us purchase what we need and make it possible for Red Earth to bring their work to the Verde Valley Community.

Bilingual Theatre Project

See all wishes from Red Earth Theatre

Description

Red Earth Theatre is thrilled to begin our long hoped for Bilingual Theatre Project to the Verde Valley. This 8 month process begins with bringing theatre workshops to older teens and adults in the area and culminates in creating a brand new performance piece to tour in Northern AZ. A book and video of the live show will also be made available.

'Performing Latino Life' intends to • validate the adult Latino experience in Northern AZ • empower that population to engage in the civic discourse of their community • develop a confident, skillful pool of Latino performers, practitioners and attendees for the performing arts • build a collaborative bridge between the majority and Latino cultures via the arts.

Working in partnership with the Sedona Arts Center we have a broad range of supporters from Flagstaff to Sedona and Cottonwood. Right now we need tax deductible contributions to pay the Program Manager and Workshop Facilitators as we begin workshops (July 7!) and continue to develop and seek funding for the project.

Please consider how you and/or your business can be a major supporter of this valuable pilot project with potential to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and in the social-economic life of Northern AZ.
