Our holiday trees are so so old & tired. They can barely stand up, let alone get decorated with lights and bulbs. Sedona Public Library would LOVE a new TALL holiday tree - both our libraries have high ceilings, and we'd love to fill our beautiful spaces with beautiful tall trees. Let us know if you have one you can't use anymore! Thanks!!!!

Cotton or Blended Fabric

nopic

Description

Volunteers have been making dresses, cutting fabric and assembling "kits" for volunteers to turn into dresses. Guess what? We're almost out of fabric! Needed 100% cotton, or cotton-polyester blend fabric. One yard makes a dress. One-quarter of a yard makes pockets for one or two dresses! (White backgrounds do not make modest dresses, but will make serviceable pockets.)

Cotton or Cotton-Blend Fabric Needed

nopic

Description

Fat quarters make lovely pockets or ruffles and are perfect in a solid color. Prints are also fun. A yard of cotton or cotton-blend fabric, solid, print, plaid or checked (no white backgrounds, please) will make a sundress that will be cherished by a child who never had a new dress before.

Our volunteers have been so busy making complete kits for people to assemble that we are completely out of fabric!

Anyone with basic ATV utility vehicles willing to donate one they no longer need

See all wishes from Verde Valley Humane Society

Description

Do you work for a company that utilizes utility carts for maintenance? Perhaps a farm, ranch, stables, winery, golf course, sanctuary, tour operator, or warehouse - anyone who utilizes basic ATV Utility vehicles?

We are in great need of a vehicle to help us move supplies from one building to another. Our staff cannot continue lugging huge bags of food and litter from one building to another, especially in this heat. We're looking for a company or individual open to partnering with us by donating a used utility vehicle. Got an idea? Message us. Know someone getting rid of one? Ask them if they'd consider donating? Are you a business interested in a community support partnership? Let us know. We'd be humbled and grateful, and of course a tax receipt would be provided.

Bottles and Formula Needed for Tiny Orphaned Kittens

See all wishes from Verde Valley Humane Society

Description

A kitten's best chance for survival is with mom, not in a shelter. We do not have the resources to care for kittens without a mother, who may need to be bottle-fed and haven't built up their immunity.

But we also don't want to turn away people who find a kitten and want to help. So we're putting together some supplies and instructions to help those people care for the kittens at home until they are big enough to eat on their own, get spayed/neutered and if necessary, come back to us for adoption.

The problem - we're quickly running out of kitten bottles and milk replacement. If you can help, we are in need of KMR or PetLac brand liquid milk replacement (small packs preferred), and bottles designed specifically for kittens (PetAg is one brand - there may be others). They may be hard to find locally, but PetSense or Tractor Supply in Cottonwood or PetSmart in Sedona may have them. You can also shop online at Chewy, Amazon, or even Amazon.

Donations can be dropped of at VVHS during regular business hours or shipped to Verde Valley Humane Society at 1520 W. Mingus, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. Thank you!

A simple request for peanut butter

See all wishes from Verde Valley Humane Society

Description

Peanut butter. It's a small thing that means a lot to a bored dog waiting to be adopted. "Kong time" when our staff and volunteers distribute Kongs stuffed with peanut butter is the best time of day for our dogs. They get a snack, a chew toy, playtime and quiet time all rolled into one and they so look forward to it. Sadly, We've run out of peanut butter, though, and a Kong just isn't the same without it (we tried!). If you can help, we need smooth peanut butter - any brand, but NOT chunky and NOT sugar free. We are open if you would like to drop some off (keep social distancing in mind and wear a mask if possible), or order online (we'll post a suggested link in the comments) and have it sent to VVHS, 1520 W.
